NW Kids

We will tell the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord.

Northwest Kids

Your child is invited to join us each Sunday morning in Northwest Kids!

Our NW Kids Critter Class happens during the service time (10AM-11:15) for children who can walk through 4 years old. Here our little ones will creatively play and learn about Jesus.

Camp NW Kids is for children 5 years old through 5th grade. After they first join us in the auditorium for family worship, they will be dismissed to their classes for the remainder of the service time to engage in lesson that help them know God and one another better.

If you're planning to join us soon, click the button below to share your family's information so we can get a head start on registering your NW Kids.

Why should my child go to NW Kids?

While your child is more than welcome to stay with you during our worship service, we believe that kids should have the opportunity to learn about Jesus in a way that engages their age group well. We make every effort to be engaging at their unique age level.

Where do my children go?

Our Critter Class meets in the music class room down the hall from the auditorium at White Oak Elementary School. Each week we make sure it is a safe, age-appropriate environment.
Our Campers are dismissed into various campsite classrooms (look for the colorful tents!) throughout the first floor of White Oak Elementary School. The color of your child’s tent is printed on their name tag at check-in.

Who will be caring for my child?

Northwest Kids has an amazing team of volunteers to teach and care for your children each week. Our leaders are known in our community and regularly background checked. We create environments of accountability by keeping them visually open and have trusted members of our community observing the activities throughout the morning.

Do you serve snack in NW Kids?

We provide a small snack of crackers on Sunday mornings to our Critter Class. There is no official snack time in Camp NWK, however, if a leader uses a food to teach a lesson, you will be notified at check-in. Parents always have the option to refuse snack for their child. Please alert us immediately of any food allergies.

What safety measures do you have in place?

The safety of your child is extremely important to us. Our check-in system allows us to account for each child in our classrooms. We create class spaces that are environments of accountability. We keep first aid kits nearby and your phone number is on your child’s check-in tag should an emergency arise.

Should my child bring a Bible?

Yes! We do keep a few extra Bibles around NW Kids, but it’s wonderful for a child to have their own Bible to handle during a lesson. We want your child to love the Word and to know how to find books and verses. While we love a good storybook Bible, once your child is beginning to read we recommend a complete Old and New Testament Bible.

What will my child be learning in their class?

Our ultimate goal each Sunday is to help your child learn how to trust, love and obey Jesus!
Currently, our Critters through Kindergarteners are using Gospel Light curriculum. Gospel Light touches on many Bible stories each month as well as focuses on a central truth from the Bible.
Our Campers are using The New City Catechism in their classes. A catechism is a way of learning theology through a question and answer format- and we know kids have questions! TNCC does a wonderful job encouraging curiosity about God.
