What We Value
We believe the Bible is clear that the local church is the only God-ordained means of accomplishing His purpose for His world (see Ephesians 3:8-10). Therefore the values below reflect a commitment to the centrality of the local church in God's purpose in redeeming the world and that everything we do is for that purpose.
Learning God's Word and living it out.
The Bible is the foundation of Northwest because we believe that it is God's revelation of Himself to us. Everything God has revealed to us about Himself and His desire for us in life is found within the pages of your Bible. So, when you come to Northwest, that is what we will share with you.
Worship
We were created for God, not for ourselves. We reach our fullest potential in life when we are living to please God. When you please God with everything in you it paves the way to a right relationship with Him. So, when you come to Northwest, you will see that we are passionate about worship.
Sharing the transforming truth of Jesus Christ with those who do not know Him.
What that means is that we care about telling others about the love of God and inviting them into a life-changing relationship with God. God's desire is to have a relationship with you and we want to help you find it. So, when you come to Northwest, you will find help to point you in that direction.
Enjoying meaningful and accountable relationships.
Let's face it, there are enough fake people and fake environments in the world, why add one more? At Northwest, we leave our masks at the door. It is not about impressing others, it is not about what you wear, look like, say, or do. It is simply about being you and being in authentic relationship with others. God made us to be relational beings and real maturity and spiritual transformation comes through real relationships. So, when you come to Northwest, you will meet real people connecting with God and others in real relationships.
Preparing people with skills for life and ministry.
If people are going to impact their world for Christ they must be equipped to do so. We desire to prepare you for influence in our community. People who know the Word and have been trained in ministry skills are able to have tremendous impact in our community and world! That is what we do, we equip people to do the work of the ministry!
Strengthening our families.
When things are right at home, life is good, but when things are not right at home, it filters into all of our other relationships. We care about families because we know that healthy families in turn produce healthy churches and healthy communities. So, when you come to Northwest, you will see that we place a premium on you and your family.
Starting new churches and reestablishing existing ones.
One sure way to grow THE church is to plant more churches. We are interested in building THE Kingdom , not A Kingdom. Our desire is to be a church that reproduces! As God raises up leadership for new churches we want to be involved in starting more churches with a desire for community and world impact!
Influencing our communities through good works done with grace for God's glory.
One of the reasons that church's do not make a difference in their community is that nobody knows they exist! One way that people will know who we are is by the love that we show to them. Jesus modeled this style of ministry in Scripture. As the saying goes, "people do not care what we know until they know that we care!"
Impacting our world through strategic mission endeavors.
We have a responsibility to reach not only our community but also to take the Good News to the ends for the earth. At Northwest we want to develop relationships with individuals and organizations who are making an impact globally! We will build these relationships with those who share similar values!
Evaluating and organizing our ministries for relevance and effectiveness.
When you come to Northwest, we will meet you where you are today, not where we want you to be, not where you were last year or the year before, but where you are today. So, when you come to Northwest, you will hear relevant music and relevant teaching to help you succeed in your life today. At Northwest, we have worked hard at identifying what it is that we really care about. When we strip it all down, it comes back to you and your relationship with God and we want to help you connect with Him and others and find success in your life.
