Our Story

God is starting His church in Northwest Cary by bringing people together to serve Him, through means only His hand could bring about.

May 2006, Brian Eisner resigned from his position at Colonial Baptist Church to follow God’s next step with Diana and their children. After being given the great privilege of seeing God work in incredible ways in the lives of students and their families there, it became clear that God was moving Brian to a new season of ministry. The Lord kept placing on Brian’s heart the need to plant a new biblically based church to reach people.

In June, God moved in the hearts of Gary and Martha Vet to move to Cary from Chicago. Gary is a student of the Word as well as a loving Shepherd. Martha also has a love for people! In his 20 years of pastoral ministry, Gary has seen the benefits and limitations of teaching focused churches and people focused churches. Feeling the call of God to help people start new lives in Christ, they determined to come alongside Brian and Diana. Now they are committed to follow Christ as He builds His church in Northwest Cary firmly established on the truth of scripture taught with a heart of love for God’s people.

We began meeting for times of worship and teaching once a month in October at Kids R Kids Preschool. We began our weekly gatherings on February 18, 2007. It has been encouraging to see the excitement that people have for a ministry in NW Cary. We are blessed each week to have both Christ followers and those exploring Christ at our services. This is a true expression of the need and potential to reach people who so desperately need Christ! On September 9, 2007 we held our first meeting at the Panther Creek High School auditorium.

Our area, the Research Triangle Park, continues to explode with growth. Reports predict that there will be 50,000 new people move into the rural area west of the park in the next 5 years! We look out on those people with the eyes of God and feel called to introduce them to His majesty and love. How amazing is it that God is able to use us? He could do it all Himself, but He allows us to experience the joy and blessing!
